Necrotising enterocolitis Neonate, ill appearance, distended abdomen
Intussusception Infant, crampy pain, distended abdomen, mass
Meckel diverticulum No pain
Bacterial gastroenteritis Fever, diarrhoea
Swallowed maternal blood Breastfed infant, bleeding mother’s nipples
Inflammatory bowel disease Dull, crampy pain, fever, weight loss, diarrhoea. Lower right quadrant
