33. Subarachnoidal haemorhage

Organ: Brain


There is a haemorrhage on the basal side of the brain. The bleeding clearly enters and fills the sulci at the affected area.

Diagnosis: Subarachnoid haemorrhage


  • Hypertension -> Rupture of berry aneurysm


The macroscopical difference between a subarachnoid and a subdural bleeding is that in the latter case will blood not fill the sulci, while it will in the former case.
